Easy Iced Coffee
Coffee is a brewed beverage prepared from the roasted seeds of several species of an evergreen shrub of the genus coffea. The two most common sources of coffee beans are the highly regarded Coffea arabica, and the "robusta" form of the hardier Coffea canephora. Coffee plants are cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in equatorial Latin America,South east Asia,Maldives, and Africa. Once ripe, coffee "berries"are picked, processed, and dried to yield the seeds inside. The seeds are then roasted to varying degrees, depending on the desired flavor, before being ground and brewed to create coffee. In the United States, September 29 is celebrated as "National Coffee Day"

Foto: Thinkstock Jakarta - Saat sedang sedih dan berduka, kopi menjadi salah satu 'pelarian' agar pikiran lebih rileks. Agaknya, konsep tersebut yang membuat sebuah rumah duka di Easley, Northwestern, South Carolina ini berencana membuka gerai kopi yang nyaman untuk disinggahi.
Sekitar bulan depan, Robinson Funeral Home akan dilengkapi dengan hadirnya Coffee Corner yang terletak menyatu dengan rumah duka. Jadi, para pengunjung rumah duka yang sedang kehilangan dan bersedih bisa rileks sejenak sambil minum kopi. Ruangannyapun dibuat senyaman mungkin.
Nantinya, Coffee Corner menyajikan produk kopi Starbucks dan juga berbagai pilihan makanan. Seperti gerai kopi pada umumnya, Coffee Corner juga memberikan fasilitas televisi, perapian, juga koneksi internet gratis. Selain ditujukan pada tamu rumah duka, gerai ini juga bisa dikunjungi oleh masyarakat bebas yang khusus datang untuk minum kopi.
Menurut Chris Robinson, pemilik dari Robinson Funeral Home, adanya Coffee Corner bisa menjadi tempat mereka untuk tenang sejenak sambil menikmati secangkir kopi. “Gerai ini menjadi tempat 'melarikan diri', mengeluarkan mereka dari tekanan yang menghimpit, itulah tujuannya, untuk membuat mereka merasa lebih baik,” kata Chris.
